ANDRITZ METALS is one of the world's leading suppliers of complete lines for the production and processing of hot- and cold-rolled strip made of stainless steel, coated strip and non-ferrous metals. The Metals division is one of the divisions of the international technology group ANDRITZ, headquartered in Graz, Austria, which employs around 29,000 people and achieved sales of around EUR 6.03 billion in 2018. ANDRITZ METALS has been working with CIM Database as a PDM platform since 2001. Currently, around 200 users are using the system at four locations. Since 2001, cross-location multi-CAD data management for Creo Elements/Direct Drafting, AutoCAD and Inventor; engineering change management; digital archive with company-wide access by users from sales, purchasing, assembly and documentation; system documentation; parts list management; ERP synchronisation with SAP via Web services technology; CIM Databse installations at two locations, connection of further locations via central PDM server possible; successive conversion of all companies in the ANDRITZ division.
