The RoboCup is an international initiative to promote research in the fields of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and robotics. In the competitions, scientists and students from all over the world compete with their self-programmed soccer robots. We support B-Human, led by the German Research Center for Artificial Intelligence and the University of Bremen, as a top team. Its track record so far: six world championships, nine-time German and European champions.

The Sino-German College at Tongji University in Shanghai has had a CONTACT Chair for Product Development since July 2017. The college, founded in 1998 by Tongji University and the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD), educates leaders who are familiar with both cultures. The master's programs in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Vehicle Engineering, as well as Economics and Business Law are multilingual (CN, DE, and EN) and include a stay in Germany for Chinese students. Conversely, students from German partner universities can complete semesters abroad in Shanghai.

Team TUfast: Developing faster and more sustainable vehicles

The TUfast team consists of three student teams with the goal of building more sustainable vehicles:

The TUfast Racing Team is the Formula Student team of the Technical University of Munich - and one of the most successful in the world! Formula Student is the largest international design competition for students. Each year, the Racing Team designs and builds a fully electric race car to compete in various competitions against other teams in the summer.

The TUfast Eco Team develops highly energy-efficient vehicles by actively engaging with the latest developments in electromobility and creating innovative solutions.

The youngest TUfast Moto Electric Team is dedicated to the development of sustainable electric motorcycles. Its goal is to create more efficient and environmentally friendly motorcycles. In 2025, the team will participate for the first time in the Electric category at MotoStudent in Spain and Moto Engineering in Italy, both organized by the Motorsport Engineering Society.

The Racing Team has been successfully using CIM Database as a PDM system for several years. The Eco-Team also relies on CIM Database for product data management and plans to expand its usage with additional functions. The newly established Moto Team will directly engage with the current CIM Database version and fully utilize all of its features.
