Maturity-controlled development

The company's services cover the entire process chain - all production steps, from design and tool construction to the end product, are carried out on state-of-the-art production facilities by the RONAL GROUP. Specially developed technologies prove the innovative power and high quality standards. Today, the RONAL GROUP employs around 7000 people worldwide who share one thing in particular with our customers: the great passion for wheels. About 18 million wheels are produced each year at 14 production sites on three continents. With CIM Database as a global platform for all product-relevant information, the efficiency of the product development process could be significantly increased - among other things through systematic engineering change management. Worldwide about 1400 users at 22 locations work with CONTACT's PLM system.

Solution

Mapping of the complete product development process from the request for quotation through procurement to the start of production (SOP) as well as use in production and quality control: Integration of CAD systems AutoCAD, Catia, NX including 3D viewing; engineering change management; parts list management; ERP synchronization with XPPS (Infor); sample and prototyping management; workflow management; project and document templates; technical and commercial project management including effort recording and resource planning; site-specific data replication using edge server technology; SSO via LDAP interface; e-learning.

Benefits

High efficiency through a central platform for all product-relevant data and largely automated process planning, control and processing; cross-location availability of needs-oriented data stocks and good performance in the branches; consistent design status across divisions through a systematic change process with workflow templates and digital change folders; high transparency through standard project overviews and comprehensive controlling functions; global access to consistent development data; efficient quotation processing including feasibility analysis and progress control.

Specifics

Easier, more flexible and location-independent entry for new employees thanks to e-learning for basic functionalities; customer-specific standard task structure with checklists, checkpoints, milestones and gateways in development projects; use of plant roles for task objects; electronic, location-independent order release process; PLM portal with news and shortcuts for frequently used search masks, information and documents; color management with layer structure and recipes;
