CAIQ and PDTec integrate offerings for virtual product development

PDTec, a global solution provider for data and process management in simulation and collaboration, and CAIQ, a simulation expert and pioneer in AI applications in engineering, are joining forces. Their goal is to combine leading expertise in data management, simulation, systems engineering, and artificial intelligence (AI) to shape the next generation of data-driven product development. As part of the CONTACT Group, the company will operate under the name CAIQ GmbH in the future.

With this step, PDTec and CAIQ are merging their complementary standard software and consulting offerings to strategically expand their joint solution portfolio for digital product development in the fields of simulation, collaboration, and systems engineering. In the future, customers will gain broader access to technology: End-to-end software solutions and high-quality services for virtual engineering will be developed based on the latest technologies and approaches.

Innovative solutions for the engineering of tomorrow

Synergies arise in particular from the interaction between PDTec solutions and the CONTACT Elements platform. The future portfolio can be seamlessly enhanced with the extensive industry applications available on the CONTACT Elements platform as needed. This allows customers worldwide and across all industries to benefit from the maximum innovation potential of the future software offering. “The combination of CAIQ's engineering expertise with PDTec's simulation and collaboration management opens up new avenues for accelerated, AI-based systems development, as is expected in the software-defined industry” said Dr. Patrick Müller, Managing Director at CAIQ.

Continuity and reliability

Global customers such as Audi, BMW, Brose, Daimler Truck, Grundfos, Nissan, Porsche, and Volkswagen are already using services from this portfolio today. Continuity and reliability are therefore important cornerstones of the coordinated corporate strategy. Together, the next generation of AI-supported software products from PDTec will be developed, as well as a joint range of services and consulting offerings based on the ten years of collaboration that already exist. The current PDTec and CAIQ locations in Germany, Poland, and Romania will be maintained and will continue to provide customer services at the same high level of quality.

“Our customers will benefit from continuity and a unique offering, both in terms of the future company and our solutions portfolio,”summarizes PDTec Board Member and future Managing Director, Michael S. Murgai. He emphasizes: “Access to the CONTACT Elements technology platform opens up a broad technology ecosystem for us and our customers to redesign virtual product development. This particularly applies to the AI capabilities of the technology platform.”
