CONTACT Elements platform passes AWS Foundational Technical Review
CONTACT Software, a leading provider of solutions for Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) and industrial digital transformation, announces that its CONTACT Elements Cloud PLM solution has successfully passed the AWS Foundational Technical Review (FTR). This demonstrates adherence to established AWS best practices for security, reliability, and operational excellence.
Verified cloud quality based on AWS best practices
CONTACT Elements Cloud PLM is based on the modular CONTACT Elements platform and helps companies to securely operate business-critical engineering and PLM processes on AWS. The FTR provides customers with added assurance that their sensitive product data and digital processes run on an architecture that incorporates key best practices of the AWS Well-Architected Framework. The FTR submission focuses on three core areas: Security, Reliability, and Operational Excellence. In this process, AWS examines, among other aspects, how solutions minimize security risks, help ensure high availability, and maintain efficient, resilient operational processes.
For the CONTACT Elements Cloud PLM solution, the review confirmed the implementation of proven cloud and security practices that help protect sensitive product data. These include network security measures, proactive vulnerability management, and access control based on the principle of least privilege. In addition, AWS assessed the robust backup, recovery concepts and continuous monitoring processes submitted as part of the review.
Security and reliability for business-critical engineering processes
For industrial companies, the availability of their development processes and the protection of sensitive product information are central requirements for a cloud platform. CONTACT Elements is designed to meet these requirements on AWS with a robust architecture and established operational and security processes.
“The successful AWS Foundational Technical Review confirms the technical maturity of the CONTACT Elements Cloud PLM solution and our commitment to secure and reliable cloud operations,” says Tim Petersen, Head of Cloud Operations at CONTACT Software. “Our customers benefit from a platform whose security, reliability, and operational processes have been reviewed against the best practices of AWS. This creates additional confidence when running business-critical PLM and engineering processes on AWS.”
