CIM Database Cloud supports Huba Control’s global expansion
Huba Control is expanding its manufacturing capacity with a second site in China. This international growth also brings new requirements for managing and controlling engineering data. To efficiently execute its growth strategy and ensure the highest standards of product quality, Huba Control is implementing CIM Database Cloud.
By opening a second production facility in China, Huba Control is expanding its manufacturing capacity to meet the growing demand in Asia. This expansion also places new demands on the internal research and development processes of the Swiss manufacturer of pressure and flow sensors. Managing product data via network drives quickly reached its limits. To prevent quality issues and overcome limited scalability, a modern solution became essential.
To ensure high product quality and a fast time to market, Huba Control is implementing CIM Database Cloud. The PaaS (Platform as a Service) solution from CONTACT Software will initially streamline and optimize part and document management. Additional modules, including Engineering Change Management, Variant management, xBOM, Requirements management, and ERP integration, are set to follow. The software’s user-friendly interface and highly flexible configuration options were key factors in the decision.
The new product data management solution standardizes development processes for roughly 100 users across different locations and optimizes the management of several thousand product variants. A standardized database significantly improves collaboration between the headquarters in Würenlos, Switzerland, and the site in China, resulting in high-quality, consistent product data.

Huba Control is a developer and manufacturer of precision pressure and flow sensors, headquartered in Würenlos, Switzerland. The company employs around 500 people across two continents and serves customers worldwide in a wide range of industries.
