Hanover Trade Fair: CONTACT Software presents IoT scenarios

CONTACT Software uses the "digital twin" to illustrate the value added in the Internet of Things. Used intelligently, it links the lifecycle of smart products, from the initial idea to product development right up to production, with the product use phase and thus supports new, innovative business models. CONTACT is demonstrating the great potential it offers industry in Hanover using concrete IoT scenarios.

With Elements for IoT, CONTACT provides industry with support in the form of an open platform and harmonized software modules for comprehensive IoT solutions. They help develop smart machines and systems, improve products on the basis of their operating data or implement new value-added services – and, depending on the business model involved, can be combined and extended flexibly. At the leading trade fair for industrial automation in Hanover, CONTACT will be demonstrating how companies can reap the benefits of digitalization using a solar system and other scenarios as examples.

CONTACT Elements for IoT gives companies the option of offering innovative value-added services. The software vendor will demonstrate this at the trade fair based on the condition monitoring of systems and their parts – in this case, a scenario involving a system interacting with its digital twin via the Internet. Sensors record the system's status data while it is being used. This data is collected, consolidated and analyzed. Companies can use the data for debugging, predictive maintenance or also for improving products.
