Success factors for agile approach in product development
Due to the continuously growing complexity and increasingly unclear requirements, product development projects with classic approaches such as the waterfall model are often no longer manageable. Agile procedures from software development are more and more in demand or already used in engineering projects. However, the positive experiences from software development cannot be transferred 1:1 to product development projects. This white paper highlights the special requirements of project management in product development. It introduces the concept of hybrid project methods for combining traditional and agile approaches and shows the essential success factors for agile approaches in product development.
