When Is It Better to Organize Technical Changes as a Project?

Today most companies organize their technical change processes using standard workflows that are (partly) automated by IT systems. Own observations show that project-oriented implementation by means of PDM/PLM provides effective supplementary support for complex product changes. And practical implementations confirm that both approaches can be integrated and are relevant for global change management. Integrated workflow and project management functions are a prerequisite.
