Consistent order processing and documentation

BENNING is a manufacturer of state-of-the-art power supply systems and systems operating worldwide. The production programme includes testing and measuring equipment, rectifier and inverter systems, battery charging systems and safety technology. The products are used in the fields of energy supply, telecommunications, industry, medical and data technology. The company employs approximately 1,300 people worldwide. BENNING uses CIM Database for the end-to-end order processing from specification to development and production. In addition, the PLM system supports the company in quality assurance and in fulfilling its documentation obligations.

Central PLM platform with project, change, data and document management tailored to order planning, execution and control; role-based access rights; integrations to Engineering Base (ECAD), MS Office and Microsoft Dynamics AX (ERP); management of articles, parts lists and material characteristics; cross-location use as a company-wide digital archive.

Reliable administration of CAx data and documents, articles, material characteristics and parts lists; significant improvements along the entire value-added chain in the areas of change management, process management and audit-compliant documentation: among other things, compliance with certification requirements (ISO 9000 and customer audits).

Maintenance of material master data and product components by means of a classification system with characteristic lists (based on DIN 4000): Article stock can be filtered according to technical properties - thus significantly increased use of repeat parts.
With CIM Database, the change effort has been reduced by 30 to 50 percent and the change process has become much more secure.
